I have not done a length check in awhile however I noticed my hair had stopped growing and so I started doing research on youtube and am SOOO happy with my progress
My Routine:
-I was my hair every week with Shampoo & conditioner (I use organic poos with no sulfate, chemicals, parafans-nothing)
-I then section my hair with my hands and apply leave in conditioner (Will try anything but i've been using Cantu leave in Shea butter and Cantu Argan leave in)-I finger comb my hair with the leave in
I then apply oil-Organic coconut oil (fav) or Extra Virgin Olive oil-If i'm out I will use any oil!
-I then seal with Raw shea butter and double twist -LEt air Dry- I do not blow dry my hair or flat iron it (which is why I haven't done a length check)
-So far my hair has grown alot and it's not easy to break!
I do this routine on my daugher who is 10yrs old and her granny told me this is the longest her hair has every been she well past bra strap length

Hey guys!
I have a question and any insight would be greatly appreciated!
I just cut my hair into a bob, because my ends were breaking hair falling out and I wanted a fresh start!
My hair is now flipping out at the ends! And no matter what I do straight or curl it, it still flips out!
Does this go away? Is it because it's freshly cut hair? What can I do please help!
Thank you!

Ok, I just started a new regimen that I'm hoping will help me retain the length. I must note that my hair grows very slow...I got 3 inches in 6 months and I know that because I have color in my hair and I have 3 inches of roots. My hair should have been mid-back length right now.

So for the next 6 months I am doing the following (I have eczema/psoriasis in the scalp, so I need to wash often).

Massage scalp with warm olive oil (to release the scales and help the stay moisturized)
Pre-poo weekly with : black strap molasses and two eggs
Wash with Castile Soap ( I like the peppermint)
Deep condition with V05 (under hooded dryer)
Rinse with cold water
Apply leave in and massage olive oil in scalp.
Blow dry and flat iron

Mid-week (Co-Wash and hot oil scalp massage. Rock my hair curly using Shea Moistures)

I'm taking Maxi-hair vitamins, drinking 3 tbs of ACV in water daily
Eating healthy as always
Drink lots of water
Mild exercise: hiking, running, walking

My biggest challenge will be doing the prepoo and deep condition...I never stay consistent due to time constraints; however, I realize if I wait until the evening to do it...I can because I have no where to go but to bed. The whole process takes 3 hours from start to finish. Don't have the patience to do it in the daytime before going somewhere.

I will see where I am in 3 months and then by month 6 determine whether my hair is just the way it is and isn't getting any longer or I really have to be on top of it.

I'm a newbie. Started about a month ago. I keep changing my hair regimen, so it's not solid as yet but here's what I usually do:

-wash hair once a week (but I don't use shampoo every single week. Sometimes I substitute it with a moisturising conditioner)
-I condition every week but I'm thinking of picking up the pace by deep conditioning my hair twice a week instead.
-I apply leave-in conditioner after every wash
-I air dry-never blow dry.
-Moisturise hair twice a day; alternating between carrot and coconut oil (paying particular attention to the ends).
-sleep with a silk pillow to avoid breakage during the night.
-I do a protein treatment once a month

Products
-shampoo: Organic Root Stimulator (ORS)uplifting shampoo
or Dr. Miracles Conditioning Shampoo

-Conditioner: ORS Olive Oil Replenishing conditioner
or Dr Miracles Deep Conditioner

-Leave-in conditioner: Dr Miracles Leave-in conditioner

-Moisturisers: ORS coconut oil and ORS carrot oil
I also use castor oil a couple of times a week.

-Protein treatment: ORS hair mayonnaise

I've only been doing this for about a month so I'm not expecting miracles as yet but I listen to my hair a lot better now so I have an idea what it likes and what it doesn't.
