My opinion. DON'T! My cousin has asian 1b texture straight hair and she uses one of those wet to dry flat irons and her hair looks sh*t when it's not straightened. Save your precious locks ladies. Not worth it.

I flat ironed my yaki weave with aluminum foil on the flat iron while damp, and it was ok. I prefer the comb chase method while dry. It actually didn't get it very dry, but dry enough. It had a lot of body as opposed to being bone straight. I was in a rush and it helped to eliminate the blow drying step. My leave out was completely dry though, and smooth. Still not bone straight, but lots of body. The flat iron didn't sizzle or smoke like some of the reviews said. Probably because I let it air dry for 2 hours in a braid. My hair was still very damp too.

You guys are brave flat ironing the hair while it is still wet. I feel like it will boil and cook the hair causing further damage. You guys have fun with it. Confused

I want to hear from the long-term users of this method.  How is your hair holding up?  Any weird breakage like your hair is "popped"?

I tried it yesterday.... I was really scared of burning up my house or being electrocuted lol
anyways, i did my bangs and didn't really see much difference than using the flat iron with or without the aluminum foil...

i was using my flat iron on its lowest setting though

i will try again

Ya'll had me terrified to try this. I only tried it on one section of hair. Nothing happened, my hair reverted right back. I was too afraid to do my whole head since I've come so far on my hair journey. Curious minds, curious mind always gets the best of me. lol.
