can we start a section about slf and their care also for newbies? i ask because even though i have ir lace that i am wearing during the fall and winter i see there are many new types of synthetic lace front wigs (i love 24 inches and over) that are heat resistant..i have one i enjoy wearing but because it has wefts like a wig it is also subject to shedding like a wig..i use sally hansen spray and 3m super 77 on the lace but short of reinforcing weft by a sewing machine is there any other way to reduce the weft shedding?

unfortunatly there isnt, but there are ways to keep it from tangling so much
i use 1 cup fabric softner to 1 cup of water(i normally use 2-3 cups each)let your wig soak for 15-20 yes you will smell fabric fresh so i follow up with pantene detangling shampoo and after that i let the wig air dry and the curls come right back and the unit is more manageable. now i never expecta miracle with synthetics because they are not human but there are wasys to keep it looking good for at least a month
if you have a curly unit you can use a steamer to steam the curls and keep them fresh when they start looking dull. to keep the wig from looking wiggy or glassy you can use a trick that others use on human wigs, corn starch. sprinkle some on your wig of course make sure you get all residue off but it gives it a dull realistic look
i guess i could go on and on but you can pm me if you have any specific questions

I use clear polish on my wefts as well.  I then turn it inside out to dry & help the smell fade.
