I have been natural for too long to have hand-in-hair syndrome...

But I finally found a routine that works for me and styles that let me be lazy without having any skills whatsoever. I love this.

Right now I am almost at the two month mark (Feb. 6th) with these braids. They are starting to look a little fuzzy and I have a good amount of new growth. But sadly I am already getting bored with them and almost daily I think about the details of my next protective style and whether my sew-in should have a front or side swept bang. I am now taking my B-12 vits so hopefully those give me some more growth. I will only be on those vits for a month then on to my biotin which I am very excited to get back on. I never should have went off of biotin in the first place.

As far as the longevity of my braids go I figure since February is a short month I can go until the end of the month. If my braids look really beat by then, then maybe I will take them out but if not I will keep then in until mid March, money saved, hair length retained!

I think that I have finally found a style for my hair that I can wear for at least 6-8 weeks. 2 months will probably be pushing it, though.

I just realized I have been a member for 7 years and I still seem to be at newbie status with my hair..the shame.

Love my hair.  It's growing,  but the ends continue to be thin despite my best efforts.  However it's better than it was before.  Progress....Ermm  Ermm

So I got some new box braids on the 6th. They are pretty long and a mixture of 1b and 27. Three weeks in and I already have new growth. It's crazy because I'm not on biotin. Hopefully these last me until the 6th of March. Once I am done with these Ginko Baloba vitamins I will start taking B12 vitamins. After these braids do come out I will be getting a long lovely sew in. 2016 will pretty much be the year of weave LOL. Also I need to try and finish up all of these shampoos and conditioners.

Lord only knows how long it's going take to get these twists out. But it's worth it...I will be protective styling for a while.

I can't believe that my twists have lasted this long. On Sunday I will be washing and re-twisting my hair. Hopefully they last two whole weeks then I will be weaving it up for all of 2016.
