Anyone heard about or using http://www.xenna.com/product_curlaway.html

Label Information
Indications
Curly hair, frizzy hair, overly permed hair, Afro-American virgin hair, frizz, unmanageable hair

Ingredients
Deionized water, PEG 400 monostearate, dimethylsulfone (MSM), natural acetic acid, grapeseed oil, xanthan gum, fragrance

Directions
For tight curl, apply gel to clean hair, pulling hair as straight as possible and cover with a plastic shower cap or bandana. Leave on 4 to 9 hours (overnight). Shampoo out and finish with your favorite conditioning products. Re-apply Curlaway until your hair is as relaxed or straight as youd like. For removing frizz and loose curl, apply for 3 to 4 hours, following directions for tight curl. To improve combability for Afro-American virgin hair, apply overnight 2 or 3 times monthly.

I actually spoke to the owner of this product about 8 months ago, and she was very nice. I think that it might be a good product for those with looser kinks.....She marketed the product to White women - until her publisist TOLD her that she was ignoring an untapped market..... So she put a picture of a black lady on her site.....That made me think twice, although it might work for me....

looking at the ingredients - Deionized water, PEG 400 monostearate, dimethylsulfone (MSM), natural acetic acid, grapeseed oil, xanthan gum, fragrance

PEG - is usually petroleum derived and acetic acid is vinegar......

The coconut milk and lime might work just as well....

I have never heard of this before.
They make everything sound so good on the site. I guess most of the ingredients are natural. I don't know.
There is a money-back guarantee and they specify that once you stop using it, the hair curls up again, so maybe it is worth a try for you.
I hope you get more replies.

um it's not worth it, you can try henna for the same effect, the only thing i like about this product is that when i blow dried my hair i got it straight and in less time! and it last about 6 weeks, but i didnt see any dramatic texture change at all!

You can get it at Indian/East Asian grocery stores or online.

When I first started on bhm,I did the coco-lime on my daughter (i was not yet natural), but I did not see any change. Of course I only did it once...

With regards to the curlaway, Romeo said it made her hair straighten quicker so it must work over time.

where to get henna

I like the results of the henna and yogart, the lime and coconut gave results as well.  It always depends on your hair.
