I understand why this is amazing to people. when they think Jamaica they picture a sea of black faces nothing else. FUN FACT 5 Jamaicans generally see themselves as Jamaicans first then race. Many white Jamaicans are Lebanese or Syrians or Germans or Scottish or Irish. They consider themselves black at times many are indeed intermixed with blacks. Sometimes they say they're Jamaican white.
There is a set of what we call "red naygas" in deep rural St. Elizabeth/ Manchester. And they are a site to behold Prussian Blue looking people until they open their mouths- real real real real real country bumpkins, talk patois i can't even understand that "raw chaw" patois
Sean Paul Henriques (Gimme The Light) said that ppl overseas wouldn't believe he was Jamaican and when they heard is last name was Henriques they'd say "c'mon son, you're Hispanic"
CLC I knew, something is off to me. It could be his French accent but i give him a 94% the best I've heard but then again I don't go around listening to YT guy reg.gae
Fun Fact 6 The Motto is out of many, one people. Which may explain why Jamaicans see nationality first then race most of the times. So you will overhear a convo like "she's white?" "no man not white-white, Jamaican white/Chinese/Indian."
