plenty of people go to prison and never lose custody of their kids, it happens everyday even to poor folks.. |
of course that is true but he MURDERED their mum. Would he not be considered a danger??? he robbed his children from their mother why should he have the privilege of his kids. |
as long as his crimes are not against children the criminal court system (at least in the U.S.) would not take his kids, that's a civil matter..he didn't abuse them, only if he committed crimes against children would it be part of his probation to stay away from kids, then the civil courts would move to terminate his parental rights..We send folks to prison all the time and they never lose their kids over it.. you can't punish people over something you think they might do in the future..
his family probably got guardianship while his was in prison and then must have returned them back when he got out... that's what people do in the U.S. b/c they need that guardianship to get them into school and/or seek medical treatment, they have to be the guardian..
His time spent is actually that's what happens over here, he wasn't in prison for murder it was manslaughter the penalty is not as many years, so he did half..its only about 8 years here, do 4 years.. that's all they do here is half, they've done their time.. they can even do stuff like go to school get a degree and get credit as part of their rehabilitation, and get time modified and get out even sooner.. the goal is rehabilitation if they do that with good behavior they get released..
