I had a breast reduction/lift in 2005 and that was the best decision I ever made in my life. I keloid and I had a few after surgery they removed them upon request by injecting them with Steroids. I used a lot of mederma and raw shea butter right after the surgery and for a year after and to this day my scars are hardly noticeable. My surgeon was an Asian American woman who was amazing and very caring. Her name is Dr. Roxanne Sclora. She followed up with me for up to a year after. I went from a 36 G to 36 B and they plumped up to a perfect C for awhile but in the years I put on 30 pounds and the pumped back up to a 36 DD which I am still fine with because they suit my body. They are still pretty perky to this day.

@SDOT Guuurrlll you is bawling!!! ....I was hit with a invoice stating $22,000 for scar revisionn therapy. so I instantly declined, I still got student loans lol ..But ITS DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!! I need them damn steriod injections tho, so the keloid-like raised scars can atleast go down a bit.. How much did your surgeon charge you for scar therapy?

To all, whom the insurance covered it: how long did the approval process take? I've been wanting to get a reduction for 10 years (of being in pain, arm numbness, etc), but I'm scared my insurance will not cover it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I was approved in 3 weeks. I went in to see a surgeon about implants but he told me that I don't need implants so lets see about going through my insurance. He referred me to his friend who is some breast specialist and she did a write up about why I needed the reduction. (They got me to say my back and neck hurts) He's contracted through my insurance so I'm not sure if that's why it got approved so fast. It was the best decision ever. My boobs look great and fine without implants. I only paid 1400 out of pocket (My remaining deductible)

girls I see the breast reduction surgeries but how have your scars healed..i am a 40d looking for enhancement but when my surgeon says I need a breast lift I told him flatly no because of that middle scar on my breast..he will do an above the muscle hp to lift them but talk to me as on real self I have only seen a few scars that are invisible.was it worth it to you? note I have breasts that are athletic...meaning they are wide and flatter more muscular and dense.
