A travel size spray bottle with pure bleach in case i can't get to my mace .
Stun Gun if legal in your state
GPS /6 pack of water .
WIFI cell phone sevice in your car .
Husband, boyfrien , or a male dummy in the front seat at night .
Cash hidden in your spare tire

Mobile phone with charger. (spare top up card if necessary)

  • Car handbook.
  • Pen and paper.
  • Personal insurance details.
  • Breakdown recovery telephone numbers and membership details.
  • Map or Atlas as well as any Satellite navigation.
  • Torch. (with spare batteries)
  • High visibility waistcoat. (keep inside the car for safe easy access)
  • Warning triangle.
  • Wheel brace. (extendible long arm type)
  • Spare bulbs.
  • Spare fuses.
  • Jump leads.
  • Foot Pump.
  • Small tool kit. (for example, pliers and a screwdriver)
  • Black electrical tape.
  • First aid box.
  • Car fire extinguisher.
  • Plastic Petrol or Diesel container. (normally green for petrol black for diesel)
  • De-icer, scraper (winter use)
  • Large bottle of drinking Water which can also be used for coolant in an emergency. (Note! Severe Danger of Scalding - never try to remove the filler cap from the radiator of header tank bottle until the engine has cooled down. (You should wait at least 20mins)
  • Loose change for telephone. (kept out of sight in glove box)
  • Blanket
  • Lightweight showerproof coat. (high visibility if possible)
  • Spare flat shoes.
  • High-energy bars or chocolate.
  • Disposable gloves.
  • Tissues or Kitchen roll for checking dipsticks.

I'm calling roadside assistance. .I live in a very populated area so most of this stuff I don't really need...a spare tire for sure.  I should definitely get the emergency window breaker and extinguisher.  Most of the other stuff I'd only load up on for a road trip.
