    Posted: Oct 15 2013 at 10:33pm
I just took out my sew-in today and I noticed my hair got extremely thin and lost some of its length! But my hair has always been then..
But I know that the reason I lost the hair b/c I wasn't taking care of my hair during my sew in plus I had my sew in for about 3 1/2 months..
I plan on going to get another sew-in in 2 days..
Now is this a good or bad thing? Should I just wait some time..

Side note: Now I know how to take care of my hair properly and what to do to take care of my hair during a sew-in.

PLEASE HELP ME! I WANT ANOTHER SEW-IN BUT I DON'T WANT TO BE BALD!ConfusedCry

I suggest waiting a week or two and during the meantime, doing protein and moisture treatments.

What if I did go get my hair done instead of waiting two weeks?

I would do the Aphogee 2 step treatment before you got it done. At least that will give you some much needed protein and then you can deep condition after. Then rinse and apply light leave in and it's ready for your next install. Only use the Aphogee 2 step if you haven't used it in the last 6 weeks. :D

It would become worse because the problem hasn't been fixed...just masking thr problem. To do back to back sew ins, your hair has to be relatively healthy (protein and moisture in check) also you must keep your hair moisturized underneath the sew in as well.

Can you get a wig instead?  That way you can remove it daily to care for your natural hair.

Your braids may have been too tight or the wefts were sewn down too tight. Whoever does your sew tell them to not do it so tight. This happened to me before I went natural.

Did you get your braids done with extra braiding hair? I also have thin hair. Getting my hair braid with braiding hair before my sew-in has really help me.
