I had a crazy busy weekend. To color the hair I used Clairol Texture & Tones Natural Black. I'm so glad I went with this color instead of the Silken Black. Honestly I thought the Natural Black would look more like 1B (dusty black) but surprisingly it came out really dark. I think the Silken Black would of came out more blue black tone which I didn't want to have. I bought two boxes for three bundles of hair (12,14,16) and barely had enough for my own. I only plan on having a small portion out anyway but wanted to have the same color for my hair and the weave. I noticed after coloring the hair it was not as soft as before. I conditioned overnight with Olive Oil Replenish Conditioner, and a mixture of oils (argan, olive, jojoba, castor oil). Later I steamed the hair with my Huetiful Steamer and it was soft
Being that I dyed the hair black I didn't want it to stain anything so crockpot it is
This is the hair combed out with a wide tooth comb. Not sure how it will last long term but I didn't get much tangles and it bounced back to curl pattern.
This is the shed hair that came out after I combed it very gently with three bundles. Not bad.
This is my steaming set up don't judge me

Does anyone know of any stylists/natural hair stylists in NYC area. Would love to go to someone that normally deals with natural hair or at the very least is knowledgeable about it. Thanks.
