Just had RHO afro kinky curly installed.  I know this hair is not the first option for most of you, due to high shipping cost, but I’m UK based, shipping is not an issue.

Service costumer was five stars, placed the order on 27/12/2012, received the hair on 31/12/2012.

Order was for 2x20”, 2x18” and 1x16”. Before shipment, received a call asking if it was ok to replace the 20” for 22” and in addition they sent me two extra pieces one 22” and one 16”. Could not be happier

SPECS:
Hair: RHO Afro Kinky Curly

Inches: 22, 18 and 16

Ounces: 6 pieces were used (3x22”, 2x18” and 1x16”), have 1x16” piece left, it was enough hair for me with 6 pieces installed

My hair: Natural 4a/4b APL (stretched)

Weft treatment before install:

1.Color: Natural color was similar to No2, I dyed the hair jet black with Bigen

2. Washed and deep condition

3. Combed with wide tooth comb, followed by denman brush, rinsed conditioner and hair dried, minimal shedding, no tangling/matting during the process, the brush glided through

4. Sealed the wefts

Install technique:

1. Circular cornrows, with hairline left out and middle parting horseshoe leave out

Well............................ so I installed my AAMH KC. I left out hair all round and had it braided in a circular pattern. The first week, it looked lovely. At the end of the week, I wet it, applied some product and did a twist out and it still looked fine, then I went home for a wedding and threw it in a bun everyday for about 10 days. I cowashed today and it was horrendous. It was tangled and matted and just horrendous. By the time I was done, I had a gigantic ball of hair in the sink. The rest of the hair is in curlfromers now so I can't really see it but I fully expect the tracks are almost bald by now.. Seriously, it was completely matted up!!! Did I get a bad batch of hair? Or did I not do something right? Pictures below

IMO, kinky curly/Afro Kinky Curly must be soaked completely, cowashed and denman/paddle brushed through and rinsed thoroughly with water at LEAST 3 times a week to ensure longevity. A silky curl can do fine with just a spritz of moisture or when just snatched back for days, but not kinky or afro extensions.

When I am wearing kinky curly, I wet it down and brush through daily the same way that I cowash my afro (during the winter, i dont get the extension hair roots/braid base wet and use a diffuser to dry).

So as far as quality goes, is RHO and/or ONYC currently still the best way to go? Not considering price, but quality alone, which vendor or company would you choose? It doesn't have to be out of these two...
