if so, how so? 

i can see how a person with bad skin wouldnt look polished..
 i cant see how its not possible for ANYone with nice skin to look polished sans makeup

oh ok. anyway--yes i do think it's disingenuous bc you're excluding an entire category of people... essentially admitting that they need makeup...and i think that category is much much bigger than the clear skin group.

but i posted a pic of what i think polished means. to me it is minimal makeup that is not caked on and looks natural.  she would not look out of place anywhere with that amount of makeup. football game, board room, ball.

i see a pic of bey without makeup.. 

and i think that if she just put on some moisturizer and lipgloss she'd look polished

im not saying that they NEED makeup. but in the discussion of what it means to look polished.. i just dont believe that its impossible to look polished without makeup. 
but i completely understand that you can look unpolished if you have acne and stuff going on 

polished to me includes nice looking skin.

which is why i asked if kenya looks polished when you can see her bad skin sticking out through her [sometimes] caked on face
