You can't really think that ppl don't wanna look polished Flowums.. Why can't you just see that possibly.. Our opinions of polished are different?
I feel like I definitely look polished when Im dressed nicely.. But maybe ppl who wear makeup a lot and are just conditioned to that feel like you can't possibly look polished without that airbrushed, perfection- look

Flowing, showing you what I think is polished is never going to get a thumbs up from you or from anyone who subscribes to certain ideas.
For the record, I've gone to black tie political fundraisers as well as weddings and other events barefaced and I looked "polished". Shoot, when I met the first lady and the president I didn't have any makeup on then either and as much as I love them, the obamas ain't enough to make me put on makeup.

People are using the word "polished" because they don't want to say what they really mean which is "flawless". As women our beauty standards are mostly based on covering up flaws. And it makes people who subscribe to those standards really uncomfortable when other women are comfortable showing their "flaws".
