From my own experience, when my skin is at it's best and I'm at my darkest, people can't tell that I'm barefaced. From MUA's to regular folk.

I've seen a light skinned person with acne scarring who was wearing makeup, but a MUA thought she was barefaced because the acne scars were showing.

If someone is going for a "natural look" with their makeup, meaning the point is to look like you don't have makeup on, then you might think they're barefaced when they aren't.

So I'm asking how can you know that someone is barefaced?

I don't think you can always tell if ppl have on makeup.

Ppl used to ask me if I was wearing any. Even the ppl at sephora

And this girl I know has the prettiest skin.. She looks like she's wearing it

ok.. this makes sense.

but thats b/c a person is wearing minimal makeup.
like a drop of concealer here n there... a light coverage foundation stuff like that.

but for the most part... its easy to tell when ppl are wearing makeup.

i can typically tell...the face lacks color..it has nothing to do with how clear their skin is...yes you're not right 100% of the time...but i can typically tell...and esp. with ppl i see frequently...when i do wear my everyday makeup...im not wearing foundation but i will wear blush.

I am assuming they are talking about how smooth it looks, maybe my complexion as well

I do wonder if they think I don't have on make up

some do compliment my make up too though

It should not matter to another woman whether any woman needs make up or not. Nor whether she is pretty only due to make up or if she is naturally pretty. I started wearing make up when I was around 16 years old and when i started dating in college my boyfriend had no issue with it. The extras do not matter when a man wants you he wants you, point blank period. Now I will say most men do not like the clown look. But even that is subjective. I guess as long as you do not look weird. In all my years of dating there was never one thing mentioned about me wearing makeup nor braids. I was wearing braid extension in the mid 80's when they were not popular and for sure every woman was not walking around with micros. It was not the thing to do. But still I had not problem. If they want you, they want you.
