^he says its because most times the face and chest tend to be lighter than the neck and your neck falls in the shadow anyway, so when people see you, they see face and chest first because women usually wear tops without a collar... kind of made sense the way he explained it...
my neck is darker than face and chest for true...if i were to match to my neck, my foundation would look odd. i never really matched to my neck in the first place...i always just went with what matched my face - in medium/light coverage

i fooled around and picked up the wrong formula (med to dry) of the colorstay...boooooooooooooo

its gotten easier since i stopped trying to match foundation to my neck and match to my chest instead, like wayne goss advises. great tip. i just pick summin close and it usually works ---a few times ive had to mix tho

why match to your chest? i have never been able to get a great foundation match
