Tripe? Taste like nothing to be honest. It really depends on how you season it and cook it. It takes on the flavor you put in it. But the texture is very chewy, hence if you are a big texture eater, you may not enjoy it. Personally I like it but I don't crave it. Now oxtails is a different story.

Pancakes with peanut butter and syrup Ramen noodles with fritos ( love them with the chili cheese flavored ones) I don't like to drink sodas cold (from the refridgerator) but I don't like it hot, i only need 2 cubes and it's perfect temperature

lol. its not the same thing. they don't taste the same at all.
they might be made with similar ingredients, but it really isn't the same. texture is different too. i don't even like polenta like that, but i really don't like grits.

It's not similar ingredients its the same ground corn meal but ppl do different things to the cornmeal.
Sme just boil water and add salt
Others sauté onions and vegetables and add chicken broth .
Same thing dressed differently, most of the time polenta is ground coarsely and grits medium

I dip my fries in mcdonalds ice cream or a wendys frosty.
I put salad on top of my spaghetti.
I think it's on the weird side, but not nasty.

i google'd to find why they taste so different to me. they're different grinds of cornmeal.

im not sure what you're tasting. even simple grits and simple polenta don't taste the same. [only water and basic salt/garlic/etc]
