Ever heard of polenta? It's basically the same thing in different ways .i prefer grits with butter

I always hated ruining a perfectly good fish or shrimp dish with grits! I'd rather have rice underneath.

There's a "gourmet" donut place in my city. The chicken strips on the donuts were guuuud.
I ate alligator on a stick at a festival once.
I love McGriddles...probably full of preservatives or whatever but it's yummy so I don't care.

I want to try alligator so badly. I have to find the food truck that has it.

You should try it lilaca :)

chitterlings (aka chitlins!...mmm!)

but before i run outta this thread... i HAVE to share this story...

WARNING:  nasty story coming - do not read if you have a weak stomach...

my husband HATES chitlins so i hardly ever make them... this was actually the last time i made them and it was about 5 years ago...

but i made them that day and was so geeked... so i sat down in the living room with a big ole smile chowing down... while my husband stared at me with the side-eye like "ugh, i cant believe you're eating that"...

all of a sudden, a piece of red pepper got caught in my throat... and i had a coughing attack... next thing you know i was vomiting...

my husband jumped up ... asking if i was OK... and all of a sudden, he vomited too!!!  LOL

he said he was already grossed out because i was eating them and then the vomiting on top of it was just overkill...

it was soooo hilarious!
