It works for some people, it doesn't work for others Try increasing your dosage.

I want to know the mechanics of why it works for some and why it doesn't for others There has to be a reason besides everyone's bodies being different! I mean it is a hormone balancer what's different in my body that's not in my mom's body? I don't get it or is it really the outside factors, the eating and exercise making the difference? Maca is known to increase the appetite.

So like I said, I got my new MACA (black, gelatinized) a couple of days ago...yesterday I took 2tablespoons (recommended dose is 1-3teaspoons) in a breakfast smoothie. I didn't taste it in the smoothie too much, and even when I tasted it on my finger it wasn't bad, I still liked it. But today, I didn't do a smoothie, had actual food, so I decided to put a tablespoon of MACA in my amaretto flavored coffee, thinking I wouldn't taste it much either...WRONG! I had to try hard not to throw up! Long story short, it's not as good as I thought it was. Later I'll just put the other tablespoon in a protein shake, because no matter how horrible it tastes, I'm getting it in! Haha

Well just try it for a little while and see how it works. It sounds pure and natural, and comes from Peru, so worst case scenario: you won't get a donk immediately, but its still a superfood and does a whole lot of other things so either way you'll be good. You can continue experimenting with other brands/types in the future.

Maca is known to increase the appetite. | It's supposed to balance your hormones and give you what you're lacking, ie if you're a woman, your hormones should naturally act in a way to distribute weight esp to your hips, thighs, butt, and breasts. Not all women's hormones act this way, MACA helps out with that, helping your body produce more of those hormones. You know how some women have to undergo synthetic hormone therapy to help their bodies produce certain hormones, well that's what MACA does, except it's a natural food. Does this help or answer any of your questions? Haha, I felt like I was talking in circles. Google google google though

Google doesn't answer my questions so basically your hormones have to be off in order for it to work? I don't know I just don't understand why fat would go straight to the butt when your an apple or a rectangle for example, balanced or not I just hope it's not all in my head,I hate buying things I don't need, I'm super cheap & powdered maca goes super quick when you share amongst family members

if you have had unbalanced hormones for a long time, resulting in a apple shape or just no curves, then theres a chance maca will bring your body back into balance, and with the right foods/ exercise you will take on a more hourglass shape. If you happen to be gaining weight theres a good chance it'll end up on the more feminine areas like hip and breasts. But if you are already overweight, and start maca with better diet/exercise it'll help take weight off your tummy, arms, and unwanted areas. It also helps to build muscle, so whatever look you're going for, maca wil probably help :-) if you are already pretty healthy, no hormone issues, healthy weight and average body type (like a ruler or hourglass) then taking maca will probably just make you feel really good and help with workouts and gaining muscle, if you gain 5-10 lbs you will probably gain an inch your booty too :) (HTH i only took maca for a few months but it gave me an inch on my booty along with Weight Training, only reason i stopped is to try another herbal regimen)

OMG WOW! I thought body-type was all genetics,so it comes from hormone imbalance??????
So the "naturally" shapeless aren't shapeless at all, they just need maca GOT IT!
Edit: & of course exerise and a good diet too
