I have a few issues with this movie.
I hated how Louis was portrayed as a nuisance.
I hated how they portrayed the Black Panther Party and the murders of Fred Hampton & Mark Clark.

Cecil was always a house Brotha Man IMO
& after finding out that Louis wasn't a real character I was kind of pissed.

I loved the movie but I pretty much agree with these especially and it made me cringe especially the Black Panther Party stuff. That was the make white people feel good part.

I don't agree about Cecil being a house niya for the reasons they mentioned/alluded to in the movie.

they did a good job portraying him as a conflicted person in the movie but in real life Mr. Eugene Allen never asked for a raise and the whole state dinner thing and how he felt afterwards was false.

idk it just rubs me the wrong way the more i think about it lol

it is an biography so i don't get when folks act like b/c its a movie they shouldn't have made it, like he shouldn't have a life that should have a movie made about it.

It doesn't matter if black folks support it or not, this movie will be received, i find this kind of HISTORY important and interesting.
