Ok ladies, I've decided to try the boiling method on some old throwback hair (lol). The hair is wavy when wet and it's a coarse texture. I am going for a wavy to very curly look.
these are the steps I'm taking....

step 1
wash and condition wefted hair

step 2
role the wefted hair into plastic wave rollers while damp

step 3
place rolled hair into a large pot with water and 1/2 cup of conditioner, and boil for 2 hours
(maybe boiling for an additional 2 hours)<<< I will do this with longer batch of hair i will boil next time. For the hair in the pix, i boiled for 2 HOURS.

step 4
Let the hair cool while it is still in the pot

step 5
steam hair in colendar strainer for 1 hour
(will be using a little olive oil in the water this step)
^^Also for longer batch of hair, I didnt steam this batch^^

step 6
Take the hair out of out the pot, but do not remove rollers, and let dry overnight on towel or hanging up with hangers

The products i am using are:
Tresseme Naturals and Volumizing conditioner, Tresseme shampoo, and a chelating/neutralizing shampoo, small amount of olive oil, Annie curling rollers (the grey ones)

other items are: rat tail comb, vented brush, wide toothed combs, covered elastic hair band, old towel for drying

These pics are before anything is done to the hair, before washing, conditioning or brushing lol.

Ok, Im back with the conditioning process...
These are the products I used (what i started out with)...

After washing and conditioning....

with saran wrap...

baggied.....

I will let this hair sit in the baggie and saran wrap for about 45 mins, and then rinse.

Next I am going to rinse the hair out, and begin setting the hair on rods with a little mane n tail conditioner.

your feedback is welcome :)

More Pix Are Below and on Page 2 Star
