Does your family/circle of friends/whoever you do whatever with exchange gifts for Thanksgiving?

My cousin is hosting Thanksgiving at her house and is inviting everyone (including me) for the first time. She wrote on the invitation to keep gifts under $100 and to call ahead for the random family member to shop for. Say what? I have never heard of a Thanksgiving gift. Have you?

LOL
Never heard of it.

But make her a cake in a jar.
Use pumpkin or spice cake or cupcakes cooked and put in an 8oz jelly jar.
Make it 2 layers and add the frosting between each layer and some on the top.
Add some thanksgiving sprinkles and close the lid.

I usually just cook & bake. Sometimes I give out treat bags. Never heard of giving actual gifts

Yes and it is an appropriate holiday for gift giving. Something meaningful although a gift under $50 wouldbe more appropriate. Sounds like she might be trying this out for the first time. When I first started gift giving on Thanks I bought my loved ones picture frames with my sons picture, hair products, crazy socks, tea pot for $10. Nothing expensive just giving thanks. It soon caught on so every year my sister get me and my sisters something from the natural hair EXPO.

I usually send Honey Baked hams to my parents, grandma, and favorite Auntie and Uncle. But that is about it.

Probably. We never get together for Christmas so that's probably why. I would rather give food (store-bought, not homemade) though.
