That doesnt necessarily make it a weave. The top could be leave out that's used to being straightened, and the bottom is still kinky because it spends most of the time braided and under weaves.

and the hair in the picture is flat ironed silky straight
my hair gets like that after leaving the salon but it's not as thick

I don't know much about weaves, but I'm thinking that is one. Not because its long and full, but because it 2 different textures.

i don't know if this counts but in my 20's i used to wear short wigs over my long hair all the time...

I thought that was common. If I wanted to wear a bob I would probably wear a weave bob to avoid cutting my hair.
