and if yall feel the girl thing is a little too soon for his age,then fine i will stop.but you cant disagree with me wanting to try to teach and help him with other necessary things he should at least know or be doing for his age

7 is 2nd grade or thereabouts. I get what you are trying to say, but mentoring really has nothing to do with asking about girls. If anything it should be about respecting girls. I hate when grown people ask little kids about stuff like that. I have had family members do that crap when my boys were younger. Trust I told them to STFU!!!!! Just because others do it, it doesn't make it right.
But the other stuff you are trying to do is good!!!!! Continue to try and stay in contact. Continue to try and be a positive role model. We all need that in our lives.

and as far as my nephew ummm it was the same situation with him his mother was neglecting him as well and not teaching him things so here comes uncle understand to save the day.

not being grumpy just frustrated cause my family just cant seem to get it together.one minute they want me to stay out of their problems then they get mad when i jump in and speak my mind.but if im hearing about my family from other people in the streets that live nowhere near them and im hearing mad nonsense,then im gonna say something.

i think my best bet is to move out of state so none of them can come to me for help or anything.there has been countless times i tried to give advice on what i went thru going up and they just dont take it.they think im talking bullsh*t until things happen to them and then they say i was right all along.i claim outsiders as my family and rock with other peoples families more than my own.but i do want to at least be there somehow someway for my lil cousin you know.no one else can really be saved but since hes young he still has a fighting chance

good!  showing him pics of girls and encouraging him to have a gf is not necessary.  if he comes to you and asks you questions then that is different.
 
anyway, you seem to be a survivor and i am sure you have other things/life lessons to share with this young boy.Smile
