I'd like to join! I've lurked here quite a while now but never posted and decided to create an account
just to sign up for this challenge for some motivation (lol). I never really started paying attention to my hair until this year and lately I've been really self-conscious about my ends (and I refuse to cut more of it off since I very recently took off 2-3 inches and it made no noticeable difference ;_;). Like yesterday, I had my hair in two braids like I usually do, and I was so embarrased with my thin ends that I put my braids up to hide them :( I've been super obsessed about my hair lately and I've only recently realized how damaged it is and how badly I've been treating it all these years! I'm most concerned about having my ends the same length as the rest of my hair. I think I might be almost tailbone length already, but not too sure.
*Are you relaxed, or natural?: Currently relaxed, although I have been undecided if I want to transition or not. I may just transition to texlaxing...
*What is your current length?: Not sure.. maybe tail bone? Sorry for my n00bness... all I know is it's just about touching my butt when its wet, lol.
*3 short term goals (could be milestones, bad habit breaking, whatever...)</span>
-Breaking bad habbits definately! I need to start being super gentle with my hair and moisturize more regularly
-Be more consistent taking my vitamins
-Drinking enough water every day!
*post your DETAILED regimen (include your vitamins and growth aids)</span>
-Wash hair 1-3 times per week with conditioner (I work out a lot), and 1x every 2 weeks with sulfate-free shampoo. I now DC everytime water touches my hair with regular condish. I tend to rotate shampoo/conditioner and don't really stick to one, but I'm currently rotating between tresseme naturals conditioner/shampoo, suave naturals conditioner, garnier fructus triple nutrition, biolage hydratherapie conditioner, biolage hydratherapie hair mask, organix keratin conditioner/shampoo (for protein treatments), mane and tail conditioner (for protein treatments), organix tea tree shampoo, loreal everpure conditioner, and garnier fructus triple nutrition conditioner.
-I use a leave-in conditioner after washing such as giovanni direct leave-in, garnier fructus sleek and shine intensely smooth leave in, l'oreal eversleek sulfate-free leave-in creme, or one of the regular conditioners I listed above
-finally, I seal with my oil mixture that contains avocado oil (my fav! makes my hair feel sooo silky), grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil (tames my frizz prone hair), olive oil, lavender oil, and peppermint oil
-I then air dry my hair in 2 very loose braids (this process usually lasts overnight until the end of the next day)
-I do not currently take any growth aids, but I do take regular multi-vitamins which I need to be more consistent with
