I often ponder to myself....maybe I should have stayed at my part time job that I had in high school instead of quitting and going straight to college. Since I wasn't part of the STEM group (science, technology, engineering, math) I sometimes feel it was a waste (financially). I could have saved a hefty amount of money and time.....talk about opportunity cost  .....Why can't Sallie Mae spontaneously burst into flames.....from unknown reasons

Ok so I looked it up and there are some penalties for trying to do this. While some places won't allow it, other can charge a $15 service fee for credit card use. I see they figured this whole thing out to keep us stuck in a student loan hole

I will never take out private loans till grad school. I honestly would leave school if I was forced to take one out for undergrad.
And I can't believe people are shelling out so much money for jobs that aren't in STEM fields when even STEM fields are having issues finding jobs. Once upon a time, graduating as an engineer or pre-health almost guaranteed you a job. This is scary.

Shoot, once upon a time, even comm majors were getting beaucoup job offers upon graduation.
What are they doing to this country? I'm so tempted sometimes to drop everything, become a charlatan doctor, and live the life back in the motherland |
