nope. i think my friend has over 200k in student loan debt. i mean wtf life is that?!! but u know her parents are foreign and encouraged her to go to the best school.  her mom is a pharmacist and makes some money but she had like 5 other siblings so she had to take out all loans.

then she went to law school right before the legal market crashed so these 160k jobs promised and dangled in front of students did not happen.

she legit cried all the time last year and worked at MARSHALLS!!! after graduation

she entered an LLM program because her school offered it for free so that they can hide the fact that their students are not employed after graduation.  she called me yesterday and now she has a job. jeezus christ.

mre and i have a goal to pay off my student loans in 5 years MAX which means for at least 5 years i will not see ANY of the money i make. im working like an indentured servant for that b!tch Sallie.

Word. I don't think it's right to make students take a bunch of core classes wasting time and money. People only need english and math (imo), then after that it should be only what applies to your major. They've gotten folks so invested into having the "college experience" people can't even successfully get to the next step.

i agree. in a 4-year, the first two years are really just about the experience of living the "college life" the last two and graduation is what really counts towards your future.
