ppl keep talking about careers in IT are the way to go, not in a few more years the career will be saturated a good indication is the fact that you see the for profit institutions pushing education. the newest bright wave to look towards is renewable energy careers

I guess it's time for me to start researching schools overseas then. Even with me being from another country I'd probably still save money going to school overseas versus going to school here.

Word. I don't think it's right to make students take a bunch of core classes wasting time and money. People only need english and math (imo), then after that it should be only what applies to your major. They've gotten folks so invested into having the "college experience" people can't even successfully get to the next step.

Speaking of what Nancy said as far as both parents and students doing research before they send their kids off to school, it really irks me that certain family members of mine keeps telling me how I should go to medical school up north, preferably in NY because most of those are the top medical schools. While that all sounds fine and dandy to them, it doesn't for me for the simple fact that I know the tuition will be sky high especially since I'd be an out of state student.
I know I'd be the one having to pay off those student loans as well as pay whatever loans and financial aid doesn't cover since I haven't had any help from anyone since I've been in school. Atleast if I'm attending an in state school that somewhat lowers how much debt I have to worry about paying off from going to school. |
I tell everyone to do this. I'll have the type of career (nursing) that will pay back my loans. People will never stop getting sick

Yup. A pediatrician although I'm still contemplating whether I want to be a general pediatrician or specialize.
