My new stock unit from afrotreasures arrived. It is jet black straight yaki. Anyways i tried to bleach the knots today, and the knots wont budge! Stubborn knots are staying black, I know i mixed the bleach and 30 developer correctly, as i have done this before. But why are my knots still black. Mind you the hair didnt even get lighter at all! Has anyone had any problems with bleaching their knots before? Maybe i need to try something new, let me do a search on "sun in"

Im guessing you mean the fact that its yaki right?  The process they used to make it yaki? So has this happened to you before?

I couldn't bleach all of the knots in my Afrotreasures unit either. I let it sit for what seems like 40 min (maximum time allowed) and it didn't budge. Mine was also supposed to be yaki texture but it was more straight with no texture at all. I am going to call her to find out the deal.

Yeah i let it sit there for atleast 40 mins and nothing changed. I also got a straight unit with no texture. Its def not to silky like my first kevncn unit, but its not as yaki as i expected. It does feel different though, if anything its a little yaki at the ends, which i will soon cut anyways. I should ask Ellen about this, but it seems as if she doesnt make her wigs when i ask her questions sometimes she doesn know.

I think in China they use a highly pigmented fabric dye to color the hair.  I read somewhere that you can take some of the color out with RIT fabric dye remover before bleaching, but, haven't tried it myself.

my knots turned brown on the underside of the cap but when I flipped it over and parted it, still babydoll head looking. The hair turned though which was strange. I used Wellite and that stuff dyes pretty fast
