Soft n Beautiful Edge tamer is not "hard" but it lays edges down nicely.

I agree with Ctownqueen with the gel and spritz method. I have resisten edges myself, especially when the temps climb and I sweat in my head first before any other part of my body and aint nothing like trying to have a slick pony, puff, etc with bdb's in the front of ya head. My gel of choice like most of the ladies would be eco styler clear. I learned that the longer you have had the tub (the super big one because I do hair too) the better it is because everytime I open to use it, in time the moisture goes. Thus leaving it more gooey and the hold more concentrated. So when I first by my gallon jug,Wink, I leave the lid off for a whole day.

When I use it on my edges and hair I apply a liberally, use a soft boar brush to lay my babies down or a tooth brush to get desired result. Keep applying more if you need to and then hurry with tieing the scarf down so it wont draw up for like 15 min to a half hour and once completely dry, and make sure its dry spray with some spritz. Some times my edges stay like t hat for up to 5 days. I just keep spraying with spritz when needed to keep the hold as long as the slick is still there. and Voila!!!

The one that looks like brown gloopity gloop?maybe i will try this!
Yup. I apply it to dry or slightly damp hair and I don't brush it in, I smooth it with my fingers... I use a small amount and I never have hard hair.

The best hands down is Alagio Rock Hard gel-it does exactly what you want. Has a strong firm hold-but somehow softens up after a few hours-while holding your hair in place still.

I started working out 5x's a week (hard workouts) and this is the only gel that keeps my natural hair in place-anything else and I have fuzzies and frizzies all over.
