kids need chores

so when they go off to college, your kids won't know how to do laundry, cook on a hot plate, sweep?

chores help kids learn how to take care of themselves or will they have maid and butlers for the rest of their lives?

YESSSSSSSSSSSS honey.
I couldnt stand my lazy ass roommates.
didnt know how to clean..refused to clean...half ass clean.
one of them her mom came and cleaned her room and packed her ish up for her when it was time to move rooms.

Shocked pitiful also gross. I can't live with a person that risk ants and roaches coming in. I don't want him to have to learn to be clean. I prefer it is just something that comes natural to him. He likes to help cook dinner, has his own mini vacuum cleaner and towel for washing the windows with me. We work on keep things clean together.

I want him to have a good life but be prepared for the worst. At 17 I knew what needed to be done. I stayed home for two weeks to get things in order and grive then went right back to school.

LOL @ the bus driver being brought up

I was raised strict (Catholic so everything was a sin!) ... so I would not want to see kids go through the same... however, being too permissable is pretty much .. just as damaging as being too strict.

I think Jada and Will´s kids are gonna be screwy .. but I could be wrong.

I've heard this is the reason some have kids.

I wouldn't be strict to the point where my kids are afraid to talk to me or do things around me and feel the need to sneak to do things. I wouldn't be like Will & Jada and not set any ground rules though. I want my child to know that I'm their parent not their friend but at the same time still be able to come talk to me about certain things.
