When I do my hair its always stiff-- no movement at all. At first I thought it was the products after buying many products (for example Cream of Nature Shampoo and leave in conditioner, Giovanni Natural hair shampoos and contioners, herbal essence 2n1, and John Frieda straightening cream to name a few) I've been doing different perms myself for a while I noticed the Super works better for me but it doesn't last long. When I had the money I'd go to a salon and I'd come out with the silky smooth hair I've been wanting but I can't afford salons anymore. I recently bought the Pro Nano Babyliss Titanium flat iron that the salon used in my hair and I use the Straight and Sexy Smooth and protect spray (but i dont use the shampoo they used) and its still stiff! I also use a water based moisturizer and unrefined coconut oil and still nothing works. What am I doing wrong? What should I do to fix this? What products would you recommend?

Idk whenever my hair turned out stiff it was because my hair was not properly cleansed/clarified. Meaning the products I had in my hair previously were not washed out all the way.

If you are clarifying then maybe you're adding too much product and it's weighing your hair down so you get no hair movement.

Too much products which sounds like it or your hair is over processed with those "super" relaxers.

Definitely not thoughly cleaned.  Start off with a clarifying shampoo and then follow up with a moisturizing one.  DC and use a leave in conditioner prior to blowing dry.  HTH this is what I do with all of my clients.  But if they need more than 2 shampoos thats what they get

i have hair type 3c and i have finally perfected my hair straightening routine.i pre poo with a moisturizing conditioner for approx 2-3 hours i then rinse it out with a shampoo containing sulfates to clarify my hair , but NOT everytime just when i feel like my hair needs it other times i use a sulfate free shampoo i love organix shampoo. i condition with any condtioner i prefer. i have recently started using apple cider vinegar to close my hair cuticles after washing mu hair and it is my favorite thing it leaves my hair suuuper soft(you may want to dilute it) i then towel blot my hair i seperate my hair into 4 2 strand twists to stretch my hair and let it air dry (not completely bc its hard for me to blowdry) i then use a heat protectant and blowdry my hair as normal with heat and then i straighten and i go over my roots 3 or 4 times to ensure they are straight and i only go over the length of my
hair at the most 2 times and i wrap my hair normally
