Excellent commentary sisters. Yes that Russian is waaay to silky fine for me. I have a brazilian fron nature girl and a sheitel of russian hair. Both of them cost a "condo"...never again. Russian hair does not go with our textures and like Peaceful One...I received so many "boogers" over the last two years that I frankenstein. We need to group order some JOhn Korea///

Funny. I Was just thinking, my JK stash is getting mighty low ...
I can volunteer to lead, but it must be 'pronto'; I'm moving in a few weeks and that would make things complicated. SEV Haircoat? Who's interested? If one Haircoat is ordered, it's 200 ml for ~$175 (with shipping to the US) which is split 3 ways pretty readily. Could order two batches of that and I bet it's the same $ for the Korean shipping.

You can find it, but it will cost a grip! The Russian hair is spendy, and I mean a LOT of $$$.
To get an idea, look at the price of shietels
I purchased on on ebay eons ago, and it was the silkiest hair I have ever seen! If you want european, ie caucasian hair, I would pay for raw hair, and send it to a vendor to ventilate. And take tons of pics of the hair before you send it, and keep a small sample of the hair to compare it to when you get your product.
Tbh, I think a lot of vendors are mixing indian and chinese hair to get some of the more exotic looking hair textures. They feel different, but it is still indian or chinese. And as mentioned, the coatings are a big factor. |
I want to do this always so I know I can buy hair from companies that don't mix it with yak hair, synthetic fibers or processed scraps from beards and hair swept from salon floors (why cut baby hairs when you can use scrap hair right) The only time I have hair that last for years on end is when I buy from certain American companies. These companies either don't make wigs or make awful wigs or wiggy closures and I want FL Wigs :( I want to send my hair to someone to make the wig that won't steal my hair and send me back a wig that is 50% what I sent them and 50% yak, donkey, yarn, thread, plastic barbie, kite string, synthetic hair. I prefer to send it to wig makers that are not in facilities where they specialize in selling all types of hair textures. I rather send to a wig maker that doesn't have a full scale hair service factory where they will be tempted because of cheap and sneaky customs to stretch the hair by pull a synthetic pack from a shelf and blending it with the hair I sent but on sight its a close match. Yes I live somewhere where I can have the hair tested. I have enough research lab friends at some of the local Universities here as well as good friends who work in consumer health department or criminal forensic labs that can analyze a sample for me but so much hassle to thwart someones dishonesty just hurts my soul. I rather deal with an honest FL, LF 3/4, 1/2 Wig or Closure or Frontal maker that will just ventilate and send back at a fair price. No more. No less.

Weavestar, there is a particular mix that JK offers that is designed for synthetic hair.. I used it once, it worked really great, but the heat you need to use for the treatment removed some curl from the synth wig I used it on (it had big barrel waves and ended up loose wavy afterwards, but the hair felt a lot silkier)
