I don't live in a large metro area so street harassment isn't like it is for some people. Also I have a car.
When an unwanted negro does accost me, I usually just take his number and give him a fake one that's already preprogrammed into my phone then I just never answer.
i lived in my small college town for years and was routinely harassed. nothing like the sexist nature of harassment w/ a side of racism.
IMO, cell phones made it worse b/c if u give them a fake number then they can call you right there to make sure that it's not fake.
it gets frustrating. i was thinking about this today b/c i went out last night to get some diapers and some old dude was trying to get my number. when i politely said "no thank you," he told me i was a stupid hoe and a bunch of other nasty stuff. i just don't get it.
