Hey - The last time that I took off a stocking cap weave was around 2 years ago, so i have forgotten how to do it.

The stylist put the sanex paper strips on my hair then the stocking cap over it, then she bonded the wefts onto the stocking cap with a little bit of  black glue. She doesnt use globs of it.

She told me to squirt some oil onto the cap and then let it soak in then the cap will lift off. Is that what you do? I would go to the salon to remove it, but I have a dentist appt after work today and the salon will be closed by the time that i leave the dentist appt.

How do you remove your stocking cap weave?

Hi NJ, I had one of thoes quick weaves last fall it was hard as he**Angry to take off!! first I tried some oil in an applicator bottle then I also bought some of the bond remover it came in a white bottle with red writing. (that wroked well) anyway I wanted to kind of keep my quick weave as a wig so I wanted to remove it in tack it came off with patients and effort and alot of bond remover and oil at one point I also wet my hair so the gel could soften. It was kind of mesy IMO that black glue gets everywhere when it is breaking down. HTH good luck

I dont know of a good way to take it off and keep the hair intact if you used the black glue.  I suggest people to wash it put the conditioner on the hair let it sit for a while and it will come off easier.

The hood way is to spray the wefts with a bunch of oil sheen and start peeling them off the cap.

RickyRoss, I must be quite hood b/c I now remember that is the technique that I used to use. I would cut the hair down to @1 inch. Then I would rip off a couple of the bonded wefts at the top. then I would pull that little section on the very top of the cap and snip a whole in it and the cap would come off pretty easily after that.

Thanks to all of the ladies & to Rick for offering such great suggestionsTongue

Thanks!Tongue
I actually got it off in under 10 minutes. No damage, no residue.
I ripped off a couple of the wefts on top then I lifted the cap and cut a few strips into in and peeled it off. No oil at all.
