The White man taught him everything..
The White man taught him shoot a gun The White man taught him that he can save his wife The White man taught him how to play the game The White man taught him how to be a "strong black man"
Yup, Great movie lol

nah, not really though. Django was provided resources that he would have otherwise not been afforded without the white man's help.

the point I took away from the movie was that had the slaves been fighting on an equal battleground with dumb, egotistical white man, they would have prevailed as victors a long ass time ago

I really thought Django was a lone ranger in all of this. I didn't know that that great white hero was going to a part of this. I really thought Jaime was the main character, but he really wasn't.

Random Thoughts was dead on in his review of the movie. Sam Jackson was the mastermind behind dumb ass candyman's evil schemes.

Had Sam Jackson's character not been so brainwashed to worship his master, we could have had our first black president in 1865
eta: had they explored his character more like RT mentioned in his post
there goes that whole inherently inferior, submissive black man theory

@kkscot What I took from Sam's character was a debunking of the submissive, inferiority theory
Candyman was the main vilian only because his resources.
