I'm not mad at Spike, but I understand that Kickstarter started as a platform to get non-discovered talent an opportunity to shine. He needs to realize that he being who he is will outshine the people trying to get on. I know some people from Gossip Girl also started a crowdfunding project to help with financing the movie version I believe. When you start to get the people who are already in the door on the site, then it does steal the shine from the people who are trying to get their foot in. At the end of the day, everyone needs to work to market their project to draw the funds. I see Spike's people pledging the difference if he doesn't make his goal amount from supporters so that he gets what was raised thus far.
