I have had alot of difficulty controling my acne for many many years. I found things that could control it temporarily but it would always come back. I felt like i needed to get to the key of the souce.

After taking retin a and minocycline my acne cleared up 70% but i was still getting painful cysts on my chin and neck. Also i had to be very careful with what i used on my body because just about anything(even cerave!) would   break me out in massive cysts on my back and arms. Sometimes it would be difficult to sleep at night.

I found out on another board that drinking 2 cups of spearmint tea would help with balancing the hormones that cause this type of acne. I started drinking it on thursday and today i am cyst free! I have also been using soap and lotions that would previously give me pimples and now all they do is give me nice, soft silky skin like they are supposed to!

I am very glad i do not have to use expensive hypoallergenic products anymore that would still break me out! My face is also very smooth. I feel like a series of chemical peels will be needed to get my desired smoothness because the constant scarring from the cysts have left me with a permanently bumpy chin.im so glad i can touch my skin and not feel any pain.

So if anyone else has persistent acne that antibiotics and retinoids couldnt control try this! I dont care for spearmint personally but i have been drinking biglow plantation mint and it tastses quite good unsweetened.

I think I'll have to try this. I have hormonal imbalance because of PCOS and want to treat my symptoms naturally.

Im sad this didnt work for you. I have been drinking it consistently for over a month now and along with antibiotics i barley break out anymore. My skin is 95% controlled at this point. I have some bumps on my face that seem to be permanent though (on the nose and chin)

Thank you,it's ok Smile
My skin is super sensitive, but I was taking a hair, skin, nail vitamin and I believe the Biotin in that was causing a reaction on my face.So I cut the vitamin out, added fish oil to my regimine (again) and will start the tea again next week because I want to believe in this working LOL. I'll let you know how it goes! I'm happy it's working for you! I've been battling acne for 10yrs now, so everytime I hear a success story i Clap.

when i finish this ill try to find the spearmint.  even if the peppermint tea doesnt do anything im glad i found a new tea to enjoy.

Where can we find this tea?

My skin has its high and lows. Right now, it's at a low! I have sensitive skin and I believe this water caused me to break out. I've had body acne before, but never to this degree; it's on my chest, arms, and my entire back. Conversely, my face isn't responding to anything - and I wake up with painful bumps on my cheek. Cry

I want this problem to be solved by the summer, preferably. But I also want long term solutions. Medicines don't work for me. I've changed my diet and still the persistant skin issues.
