My soul food addiction is potato salad and fried chicken :(

My vitamix and juicer have become my good friends though. Fresh fruit n vegetable juice and fruit smoothies without sugar help me to balance out some things I enjoy that aren't healthful.

I always got my soul food fix from granny who would make it at least every SundayCry. My dad sometimes makes a dish when I am in town.

It's not healthy but it's a big part of tradition for Southern Blacks. Hopefully the younger generations will make some changes.

This is true, eating it round the holiday shouldn't harm those who do,, it only become unhealthy when you eat it as a daily meal... Now I can think of others foods that are much unhealthy than soul food,, but you have to watch the TRAVEL CHANNEL FOR THAT!!

I really need to incorporate more vegetables and fruit into my diet. I barely eat vegetables and I don't even eat fruit. My diet contains so much carbs, sugar, and dairy.I'm starting the new year right.no more of this mess. I make everything from "scratch" but I can do better. It's just cheaper

we ate a lot of soul food, for us it wasn't just limited to a couple times a year. In the end it killed my grandparents and parents. It almost took me down. I'll be watching this.
