I use it as my sealant and I have good results with it. I'm not sure if it's absolutely 100% coconut oil though. It does smell good.

I love it.  I just wish that more places sold it.  Like the others said - it smells good and gives your hair a nice shine.

I have used other coconut scalp conditioners (more expensive ones) and found that they are not as good as this one.Big%20smile

It looks like grease, and the first ingredient is petroleum, so yes it's petroleum based. I never had a problem removing it from my hair though. I usually can get it out with just a co wash.

Hello - Dudleys has a great cleansing shampoo (with moisturizer) and it smells great.  That will help remove any buildup.  However, I don't get any build up from the Softee Coconut Oil - I love the product.

After 1/2 shampoo(s), I use the Kera Care Hydrating shampoo (wonderful product).  I also use the Humecto Creme conditioner mixed with another conditioner.

I have never used the shea butter shampoo and probably won't as the above products work well on my hari and leave it very soft and full of body & shine.

I have tried many hair & scalp conditioners and I prefer the Softee Coconut Oil above all.

You can find the Softee here - http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=301666&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod2138215

You can find the Dudley's Shampoo here (again I only wash one time with the cleansing shampoo - followed by the kera care hydrating shampoo) -

Funny that this was posted.  My friend loves this stuff.  Mind you she has 2b/2c/3a hair type and she uses this daily.  She has tried another brand of coconut oil and it made her break out in a rash on her hands.  So I bought her a big jar of this stuff so hopefully this one will last her a month at least.  I opened this jar and it does smell good.  Maybe I should go back to grease and give this a try.

I have been wanting to try this for a while but was concerned about the petroleum.  I have 4a/3c hair.  From reading the comments I might just give this a try since I ran out of my last hair grease, which was Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil.
