She's finally met her match in the diva stakes! Jennifer Lopez is upstaged in the rain by Casper Smart... who demands TWO umbrellas to shelter him
She's known for her 'Jenny From The Block' reputation and has issued her fair share of diva demands in the past.
But Jennifer Lopez was well and truly upstaged in the diva stakes by her toyboy beau, Casper Smart, as the couple stepped out in New York City on Wednesday.
Arriving for a radio appearance to promote the 43-year-old singer's brand new single with PitBull, the couple were caught by a surprise by a sudden downpour of rain.
Diva demands: Casper Smart overshadowed his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, in the diva stakes by demanding two umbrellas to shelter him from the elements as the couple stepped out in New York City on Wednesday
Toning it down: By contrast, the 43-year-old superstar required the services of just one flunky as she made her way out into the rain
And while the mother-of-two employed just one flunky to protect her from the elements, it would appear her dancer boyfriend was a little more demanding with his needs.
Evidently not content with his Bronx-born lady's shelter, Casper ensured the rain was kept at bay by insisting not one, but two, assistants held giant umbrellas over his head to guide him to cover.
The dancer's somewhat over-the-top arrival was made even more ridiculous by the fact that he wears his hair shaved into a buzz cut, meaning there was no style to uphold.
Rain, rain, go away: Evidently not content with his Bronx-born lady's shelter, Casper ensured the rain was kept at bay by insisting not one, but two, assistants held umbrellas over his head to guide him to cover
Bad timing: Jennifer was caught by a surprise by a sudden downpour of rain as she arrived for a series of interviews to promote her new single with PitBull
Perhaps the 25-year-old was keen to protect his dapper grey suit and crisp white shirt as he accompanied his superstar girlfriend on her day of promotions.
Jennifer was much more down-to-earth for her busy day of work, casually slipping back into her Bronx alter-ego by parading her curves in leather trousers teamed with a pair of shiny black high-tops as she appeared on Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show.
She also accessorised with a pair of her obligatory tinted sunglasses for good measure, in spite of the somewhat dull weather, while covering up her perennially bronzed torso in a black turtleneck and wrap around suede top, which featured a long asymmetrical cut.
Jenny From The Block is back: Jennifer Lopez wore leather trousers and high-top sneakers to make an appearance on the Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show on Wednesday to release her new single
Covering up: J-Lo did however cover up her perennially bronzed torso in a black turtleneck and wrap around suede top, which featured a long asymmetrical cut
Jennifer was appearing on the show to debut her new single with rapper Pitbull.
The dance pop song is set to become a club anthem hit, especially in the stadium-style venues in Miami.
Produced by RedOne, the track is reminiscent of J-Lo's other hits including On the Floor and Dance Again, and features a series of cheesy one liners from both PitBull and J-Lo, including 'She’s screaming ‘YOLO!’ and 'Jenny from the Block, let’s rock.'
Through rose-coloured glasses: She also accessorised with a pair of her obligatory tinted sunglasses for good measure
Excited: J-Lo was excited to release her new clubby track, a collaboration with rapper Pitbull
It also includes some colourful language from the rapper, who whispers 'Let’s f*** tonight' in the tune.
During her interview on the Elvis Duran show, Jennifer said that even though she has heard the new song several times before, listening to it live on radio for the first time was special.
'I don't know it's just because you grew up listening to the radio and you hear songs and it's just one of those magical things,' she explained to Duran.
Special: During her interview on the Elvis Duran show, Jennifer said that even though she has heard the new song several times before, listening to it live on radio for the first time was special
'I mean it's something you never even thought would happen one time and to be here making your tenth album and listening to your first single, it's like a dream come true.
Jennifer also described going back to her old Bronx neighbourhood for a recent photo shoot with high fashion magazine W.
'They put me in this big coat and these diamonds and I am standing there looking at this house I grew up in, you know that I spent 16 years in... and I just feel so grateful and I just don't know how everything happened,' she gushed.
Lunch date: after her radio appearance, Jennifer and her boyfriend Casper Smart took in some lunch at Cipriani restaurant at West Broadway
Look over there! Something appeared to catch J-Lo's eye as she left the eatery
'I am a blessed creature to be here with you guys right now and doing this... and hearing that song, still making music and being proud of it.'
Jennifer's new single is part of her tenth album, which stands alongside the 28 movies she has starred in throughout her long and successful career to date.
The singer also didn't hesitate to mention that she has also produced two children, twins Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Kiss for the cameras: The couple kissed following their meal
' I did it all at once...efficiently,' she joked.
Duran also questioned Jennifer about rumours suggesting she may be returning as judge on American Idol, but the star stayed mum on the subject.
'I don't know. I have no announcement to make right now. I have nothing to say about that... except that I love the show. I love everyone over there. I love those guys. Steven (Tyler), Ryan (Seacrest), Randy (Jackson),' she said.
Glamorous: Jennifer attended the 2013 Met Ball in New York City on Monday night
Fun night out: The singer was accompanied by her much younger boyfriend Casper Smart
'It was a great time of my life... I remember it as a very nice moment.'
She also stayed silent on the subject of a recent shooting nearby the Florida set where she was filming the music video for her new song with Pitbull.
Over the weekend, J.Lo was rushed to safety after gunshots were fired near where she was filming the video.
Security guards took the singer to a vehicle after hearing several gunshots about 400 yards from where she was filming on Sunday night in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Police converged on the area, but the people involved in the shooting were not found, although police detained several people at the scene.
She was filming an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the set of the music video when the shots were heard.
ET's Rob Marciano, who was interviewing the star, reported that 'Security scrambled [Lopez] away' after the shots rang out.
Dancing queen: As per usual Jennifer did some of her signature dance moves in the clip
He tweeted: 'BREAKING: Gunshots fired on Fort Lauderdale Beach DURING my JLo interview. No kidding. Security scrambled her away.'
He added: 'Can hear & see ambulances converging ~400 yards down the street.'
Before adding: 'Police confirming: 'shots fired. no one hit.' Whew.'
Security officials said the star was secure in her vehicle when the incident was reported, but it's bound to have brought back memories from the time she and then boyfriend P.Diddy were arrested over a shooting at a nightclub in New York in the late '90s.
