if she doesn't want you to tell then don't, but she should have called
the cops. I was somewhat raped when I was 17 by a group of guys and now I
wish I had told someone and called the cops. I went to have sex with 1
guy and his brothers and cousin ended up taking turns too. I didn't
fight them, because I was afraid of getting murdered or something. I
said no once, they didn't listen so I just stfu and let it happen. I
wish to this day I had told someone or at least called the police after
they dropped me off.
Tell her my story if you have too and let her know that years from now she will regret not doing something about it.

Encourage her to press charges,talk about it everyday if you have to..Being a rape survior is difficult, you blame yourself for the incident, alot of times other people blame you without ever saying it directly..
You may have to just take her to a support group,and sit through a few meetings with her..
My incident happened 18 years ago,it doesn't define me,but it did shape a large part of my life...
I became a mother from an incident that could have crushed me..
Do what she doesn't have the courage to do right now,find her a support group..

If i ever go to jail, it will be for vigilantism based on child abuse or rape.
It's so sad that victims have to feel embarrassed and family members have to engage strangers on what to do. We have a long way to go.
