Man... Idk about marijuana being a drug, it isn't man made..
And it is legal in some states.
I'm pretty sure breastfeeding mothers in these third world countries and other countries are smoking some doojah..
idk maybe she should stop breastfeeding.
I wouldn't call cps though unless there is some neglect or something.
There is no info on the effects of marijuana on children you can look it up and if you do find something it will say "it is believed" etc. not true FACTS
TRUE FACTS:Many drugs come from natural sources. Nicotine is in tobacco, which makes cigarettes so addicting. Marijuana has THC which is a drug.
Breastfeeding mothers in 3rd world countries also have higher rates of children dying from malnutrition and disease as well. "Smoking some doojah" certainly isn't helping their situation is it?
Effects on children aren't just "believed". You need to look it up:
Marijuana can cause lowered milk production by lowering levels of the
hormone, prolactin, in a woman’s body. Marijuana and breastfeeding
leads to babies who show signs of sedation, weakness and poor feeding
patterns. The combination of decreased milk supply and a weak, lethargic
baby are cause for concern on behalf of the well-being and growth of
Babies exposed to second-hand smoke, and marijuana in breast milk, are at a higher risk of SIDS or Cot Death.
The affects of marijuana may damage brain cells and genetic material, (DNA and RNA).
and other street drugs are often impure, and may be laced with other
drugs or substances that can also be damaging to babies.
analysis of breast milk in habitual heavy marijuana users shows an
eightfold buildup in breast milk. The active ingredient of marijuana,
delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is fat soluble and is quickly
circulated into brain and fatty tissue. Breastfeeding babies of mothers
who use pot absorb and metabolize THC at a critical time of major brain
growth and one of the fears is that marijuana alters brain cells. So there are some real effects for children exposed to THC in breast milk. Educate yourself, Bribby, please.
