it all depends on how fast your hair grows
average is 1/2 -1 inch per month.
so after several months one may seem like they have retained alot more than another.
growth aides and vitamins effect hair growth and do does diet and exercise.

It took about 4-6 months to get from nl-sl. I wore sew ins the whole time, because I was pregnant and I was afraid to get relaxers

Hey littlelocks! (waves)

It does get easier once you get to sl. My hair had never grown past sl before, so once I got there I followed the advice from hair boards and I started wearing buns. Bunning is what finally got me past sl!! I wasn't even really a bun. . .I just kept my hair off my shoulders. I clipped it up, pinned it up, twisted it up (french twist), etc.
