Older white teacher, wanting to add something new to her curriculum. I went out and was like, oh I see you have an interest in urban fiction? She s never read any of these books. She said no Misty (white girl) reads across the board and offered her help. I I formed her that those books wouldn't be appropriate for a college course and could possibly insult her "basic grammar" students intelligence. I recommended native sons, invisible man, kindred. I suggested she wants her students to have something to discuss, inspire, and promote thought.

It's too bad an author that talented wasted her writing on a story so divisive. The second Midnight was even worse than the first one.
