I prefer just lace. Every so often (like now) I own a silk top, and I always end up hating it!
It is a trade off. A silk top gives you a more realsitc part, and lace gives you a far more realsitic hairline .
There is a seam where the lace ends in the very front and the silk begins on silk tops, that is hard to disguise...you pretty much need to wear bangs with silk tops, IMHO. They also do not lie as flat on the head where the silk is. However, the parting will look pretty flawless.
Lace, you get a much smoother line and much much more realistic front edge. No seams! And they just lie better. There are many tricks to making the parting look realistic on all lace.. it won't quite look silk top good, but you can get close.
My 2 cents. LACE.

I bought my first silk top last year (just wanted to try one out). As hennared said, a lace gives you a more realistic hairline. A silk top IMO, unless you leave some of your own hair out around the edges, could look a bit unrealistic. It doesn't lay as flat. As far as parting, you can't beat a silk top. My next order (a coarse yaki) will be without the silk top. I've learned so many tricks on this website and Youtube to make my part look realistic without the silk top.

Adding to that realism: there is no sound in space, and Cuaron stays true to that rule by making the soundtrack do all the work. Instead of employing all the usual crashes and explosions found in space-set action thrillers, composer Steven Price uses electronics and acoustic instruments to accentuate the dramatic spectacle. But the musical score is also rousing and beautifully effective, since it hits all the right emotional notes.

welll I got my orders from wigsroyal. I got the light yak18" in silk top and I love it. I just feel like when I part the hair it try to go back to its original position.how can I train the hair? My Spanish wave unit is regular lace and I need to bleach the knots.
