No silicones for me either.  My hair will not absorb moisture.  It took several rounds of chelation and clarifying shampoo to get  all that off so I could start babying my hair and rescue it from the brink of crispy...

Oh how I hate the smell of silicon mix. Its not a gross smell.. but its sooo overwhelming it can be annoying.. you can still smell it days later on your head. I wish some of my other hair products would smell for this long

anyway.. I hate it on my weave.. but I think I like it on my real hair.. straightened or curled. I have to try it more to decide if I want to buy more. I think it was a lil heavy for my my ROOTS in my leave out when I conditioned while I had hair installed.. but I have super fine hair. I think I like it for the rest of my hair though (I'll just avoid my roots)

Does the leave in smell like the original? If it doesnt, I might try some

I'm still on the fence about it. Haven't used it regularly enough to determine any benefits.

I've used it. I actually think it was more useful for my extensions than for my actual hair. Besides smelling great on my own hair, I really didn't see any other improvement. Whereas with my extensions, it really infused shine and moisture back into the hair. I don't know how effective it is on type 4 hair.
