Wow . You have been aroud a long Time . BHM will never change in my op . Some members mature with age or stay the same . Real life issues are based on skin color among every Race . I think about People like President Obama struggles based on his Skin Color . I join several years after you , but I know members from all walks of life and age post on BHM . I expect young folks to talk about things I have no interest in . The only topics that ever bother me for a few moments are Rape, DV, and Religion . I have grown to care about several members , but I would never try to Place my morals or thought on anyone . Try to put yourself in the place of members with white a White spouse . I think they ignore topics , because BHM will never change the love they have for that Person .

I don't mind the discussions, but I applaud your passion OP. I am happy being dark though. I love my color, but all colors are beautiful. I've seriously never found a person ugly due to pigmentation.

I'm not talking about today I'm talking about in general. I constantly see topics about being dark all the time. It just makes me wonder how many more topics are going to be started about darkskin? I didn't post this topic for the hell of it or to get attention. I guess some of you are just so damn judgemental due to my old topics I started you cant take this topic seriously. I'm sorry I'm not perfect and I'm sorry most of you don't agree with other topics I have started. However, I should be able to write about things without being judged all the time. This is not a topic about a man, my job, etc. Its about a real issue that we should all take seriously. I'm not perfect by no means and that's obvious but damn I didn't realize the rest of you have no flaws. I will bow to you perfect people on bhm.

Actually...I thought BHM did great this month on ls/ds issues lol I only saw two threads about it this week.

LS/DS threads tend to be the big page turners.
IMO, I don't mind
discussing it, but I don't take it with me. But the same can be said of
any of the BHM topics I join. Sure, I can defend and write story books
on topics, but I know my life, the success I have and the minimal
limitations that I've faced - nearly none due to the melanin content of
my skin.
Colorism is something that any group of color faces -
especially if they were exposed to colonization. And for better or
worse, the obsession with "paper bag/passing/looking mixed/etc" is
always going to be a hot button issue in the black community. IRL, I
don't spend time around people preoccupied with quite frankly,
irrelevant things like skin color. It's pointless and a waste of my time
to focus on those things. I have too much going for me to get caught up
on minutia.

only 2 this week..LOL that's so sad. I can see what this topic is going to turn into. Some of you are going to ignore this topic and are going to be more focused on insulting me and reposting my old topics. I really can't believe some of you still do that, its so damn pointless at this point. I guess some of you think its time to play when Dawills logs on.
