My goal is to have my hair following thick and natural down my back lol. So when someone asks me,"Is that your real hair?" I can say,"yes, touch it!" lol

if my hair continues to thrive I am confident I will make full shoulder length by the end of year. Maybe even by the fall. I won't jump the gun, I will take this one week at a time.

what happened?

for me it was probably years of heat damage catching up with me that curbed my speedy descent toward mid back.

Initially I cut my hair to rock a pixie cut allowed that to grow out a little to bob and was headed to shoulder length then decided to go natural. I transitioned for about 8 months and big chopped. My hair was doing well for a liitle while but by the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012 my hair began to shed and break. I could not get a handle on the hair loss and by March 2012 the back half of my head was missing hair from ear to ear. I had a little patch in the middle in rear. It looked like I had a mohawk in back. It was terrible. My hair has recovered. I got about 3 inches of growth from March to June. If I can keep this up I should be approaching apl by the end of the year.

I couldn't agree more, that is my ultimate goal. Idk if i am natural relaxed, or somewhere in between. Hair down my back is my ultimate dream.

This is my hair length and I actually obtained 1" in less than one month recently and I want to be Sl by the end of the year.
How many inches do you think it will take? 4 inches maybe?

i don't know, YaYa... my goal is to have FULL shoulder length front and back... but like others, my hair is in different lengths.  short at the crown (possbily recovering from a BHM bandwagon setback),  CBL in the back, and past lip length in the front.Confused
