Just checking to see if anyone else is trying to get to shoulder length. The shoulder length 2013 challenge looks like it didn't get going. Anyone?

I need to do a length check myself but I am in serious need of a trim. I won't know my true length until then. Congrats on reaching sl and much success towards your ultimate goal.

My hair is longer in the front, and the back I shaved down at least 6 months ago. So now that it's growing out, the front stuff and the bottom of my hair in the back is shoulder-length (a little past that if I pull it straight), but the hair near the crown of my head is still pretty far from it! I've dyed back to my natural shade and am trying to be as natural as possible to grow it out faster! I'm taking 1,000mg MSM a day and 1,000mg Gelatin, with great results so far (my hair didn't start growing AT ALL until I did this). I also plan on taking Chlorella and possibly Biotin soon.
My goal is for the shortest parts of my hair to be shoulder-length by summer (although once it's longer than that, I would like to have an even cut down to my nipples or a little past if possible as my end goal)!

My hair is also longer in the front than back. I have been cutting it myself throughout 2012 in an effort to try and even it out. (not such a good idea) In December 2011 I had the only setback in the back, which resulted in me wearing wigs all of 2012. ( I would not wear my natural hair out in public. The hair has grown back since then. My braids under my wigs reach my shoulders, but I have not had a professional trim in well over a year. I am going to the salon this weekend. I know on Saturday the stylist will give my hair a good cut which will take my hair above my shoulders. I am assuming after Saturday I will be aiming for shoulder length. My final goal is also mid-back/nipple length. Any longer than that would be more than I want to deal with.

Yay HaitianDiva! Let's grow together! I will be weaved up and braided up under my wigs throughout 2013. I know the forum loves pictures. I will try and get a pic of my hair after it has been cut on Saturday. I am having a weave installed and hopefully that weave will be in for the next 6-8 weeks depending on how the hair behaves.

I finally got my hair trimmed. I wasn't able to take a picture my simple butt left my doggone camera home. I have to re-evaluate my growth approach. If I grow and retain at least 6 inches it will bring my crown to collar bone length. However, the nape maybe about arm pit length. I did get my weave installed and I intend to be weaved up most of the year. As soon as I have my leave out blended to my liking I will post a picture. I will be wearing wigs in between weave installs. I will also trim again in July and November if necessary.

Well I did my big chop back in november. The last time I did a length check was early February and my hair was mid-neck. so it should be shoulder length by the end of this month or the end of April.
